State wide area network which connects state HQ to district and block headquarters was inaugurated by President Pratibha Devi Singh in Mar 2011.The government is conscious that integrity and communal harmony are two critical challenges.
Dr Kh Ratan, Minister seconding the motion said the Governor’s address reflects the works taken up by the government.
He said government is taking up socially productive works. Expansion of airport and improvement in law and order are some key important issues he said. Opposition MLA, L Ibomcha of NCP said water supply scheme should be augmented. Water resources policy should be framed otherwise there is no point in constructing water schemes.
Dr L Ibohalbi of the Trinamul Congress said the address of the Governor does not reflect the failure of the government to implement the acts passed by the House. What is the point of passing Acts if it is not implemented he said. No action has been taken up under the Liability Act and other Acts. There are so many Acts but not implemented he said.
