Probationers of Indian Police Service (IPS) from various State cadres were exposed to the extremely tough and challenging conditions under which the Army is operating in Manipur. According to PIB-Defence Wing, the budding IPS officers also had a first hand experience of low counter terrorism operations are conducted and witnessed the troops of the Indian Army in live operations.
The probationers were greatly impressed with the commitment and professionalism of the Indian Army and expressed their happiness at the unique opportunity. The training culminated with an interaction with Maj Gen KK Sinha, SM, GOC Red Shield Division at Leimakhong, off Imphal, the PIB-Defence Wing added.
