Imphal, July 7 : 18 SIKH of HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), organised a Wreath laying ceremony at Imphal Airport to pay tribute to Martyr Soldier, Late Naik BD Warshung of 8 Assam Regiment, who expired on 06 July 2013 in Command Hospital, Kolkata fighting battle with Tuberculosis. The wreath was laid by CO 18 SIKH on behalf of GOC 3 Corps, IGAR (S), GOC 57 Mtn Div, Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles, as a mark of honour to the deceased soldier.The mortal remains of Late Naik BD Warshung was accorded full military honour at the Imphal Airport before being dispatched to the native village in Chandel district
