IMPHAL, April 9: A combined team of the Imphal east district police and 30 Assam Rifles conducted search operation this morning and recovered one AK 47 Rifle along with 30 live rounds, one lethod shell and two hand grenades.
According to the reliable source, the search operation was conducted by a combined team of Imphal east district police and 30 Assam Rifles personnel under the supervision of Singhajit additional SP Imphal East led by Achouba officer in charge Imphal East commando at B Gamnom Village, Sungphei Village Keihao Village and Bongbal Khulen under Yairipok Police Station Ukhrul District
Sources further said that the combined team recovered one AK 47 Rifle along with 30 Live rounds, one lethod shell and two hand grenade and there is no report of any one arrest during the search operation
On the other hand Imphal east district police arrested one over ground worker of PLA from his residence today morning
According to the reliable source the over ground worker has been identified as Khoisnam Khogen Singh alias Tamoyai 45 son of (L) Nimai of Khurai Ningthoubung.
