IMPHAL, April 17: The difference in aspirations among the leaders will never bring any good to the society, lamented Manipur`™s titular king Leisemba Sanajaoba today speaking as the chief guest of the 44th death anniversary commemoration of Rungsung Suisa at Hongmahn Tangkhul Village, Senapati district.

He also unveiled the second twin statues of love, peace and fraternity at the village as part of the observation. The first twin statue was unveiled at Wakha (Leima Ching) on January 3 in connection with the death anniversary of Luching Purel Chingsubam Akaba.

Having a statue which is of two leaders – one each from the valley and the hills is a big achievement and a benchmark of the love and peace prevailing among the different communities of Manipur, he observed.

Leisemba also continued that it is unwise to differentiate the people of Manipur into two sets as hill people and valley people.

The twin statue of the two leaders R Suisa and Chingsubam Akaba, which is a symbol of love, peace and fraternity, he said will lead the people along the path of love, peace and tranquillity.

Today`™s unveiling of the twin statue was jointly organised by the R Suisa Trust and Luchingpurel Chingsubam Akaba Ningsing Lup (LUCANIL).

The dignitaries at the function and family members led by the titular king also lighted candles at the grave of late R Ruisa as a mark of respect.

Others who attended the observation chairman R Suisa Trust Dr Ngahorshai Luithui, Tangkhul Naga Wungnaolong president Sweeten Rahing, Hongmahn Tangkhul Village chief Mathankhui Zimik and family of Chingsubam Akaba.

As part of function, members of Social Elevation for Human Resources and Environmental Management Organisation, Manipur (SEHREMOM) offered fruits and vegetables to the twin statue.

Speaking on the occasion, R Suisa Trust chairman Dr Ngahorshai Luithui said that the twin statue of the two leaders is testimony of the unity and love among the people of the hills and the valley.

He said that the twin statue erected at Hongmahn Ground will help in spreading the message of peace and love among the young generation of different communities residing in the State.
