Maternal mortality Complications or negligence?

Frankly we are not sure whether the suspension is required or not but the death of a young mother during delivery at RIMS on July 6 is really tragic. Pending a comprehensive enquiry, one doctor has been suspended in connection with the death. Now fellow Gynaecologists have not only openly condemned the suspension order, they are also demanding revocation of the same order within a week.

IMPHAL, Jul 13: Acting on a reliable information about the presence of one active member of the unlawful organisation UNLF at the residence of Keibi Kumuda Awang Leikai, a team of Imphal East district police commando rushed to the said area and conducted a search operation and arrested one S/S Corporal of UNLF organisation, identified as Takhellambam Priyo Meitei alias Nongdrenkhomba (21) s/o T Toto Meitei of Keibi Kumuda Awang Leikai from his residence yesterday at around 7 am. Incriminating articles were seized from his possession. A case has been registered at Sagolmang PS and investigation is going on, informed a statement issued by the PRO of Police Dept.
