New year, new me : Re-designing self

“An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves” – Bill Vaughn, American Columnist & Author. The thought of New Year excites everyone. There are anticipations that surround the unfolding of a New Year. In some remote form, everyone thinks of a “New Self” at the unfolding of New Year. The former will be tedious and ongoing, while the latter is a matter of count and replacing the old calendar with a new one.

Chandel: An oath of secrecy and installation of service for the office bearers of Sirti Upa Ruh (SUR)/Monsang Tribe Union head office, Japhou Chandel for the term of 2017-2022, was held at its headquarters in Japhou community hall, Chandel today.
The newly appointed members of SUR including its president Ng Gilbert, finance secretary Th Biren Monsang, education and statistics secretary Tesong Achand Monsang, took the oath of secrecy while Monsang Naga Baptist Churches Association (MNBCA) executive secretary Rev W Moses prayed for the newly appointed members.
Outgoing president Ng Benithan handed over the official documents to the new office bearers.

Tamenglong: The Tamenglong Autonomous District Council Members have clarified the statement issued by one K Liangpibou in the local daily stating that Tamenglong ADC Members opposes Manipur Hill Areas District Council (Fourth Amendment) Bill 2017, is wrong.
A press release issued by convenor and ADC member, Tamenglong ADC stated that Liangpibou issued the statement to create confusion and public disturbance in the State.
It further clarified that Tamenglong ADC Members support the Bill which was passed in the State Assembly in the last winter session.
