IMPHAL, Aug 21: Noney Battalion under the aegis of Red Shield Division organised “Healthy Manipur Campaign” at Noney location today. 50 students along with teaching staff of St Joseph School Khumji joined the troops for a combined Yoga and meditation session. The students were encouraged to adopt healthy lifestyle habits, said a press release of PIB Defence.

IMPHAL, Aug 10 : Noney Battalion under the aegis of Red Shield Division organized a tree plantation drive at Lamsang Primary School under Kangchup Company Operating Base today, informed a press release of PIB Defence. Troops of Kangchup Post along with children of school planted 100 saplings on Kangchup-Tamenglong road as a part of extensive plantation drive. Personnel of Kangchp Company Operating Base, teaching staff and students of Lamsang Primary School and members of Lamsang Phongmaui Education Sport and Cultural Organisation participated in the drive.

IMPHAL, Jun 25: A motivational lecture on “Career Counselling for Super 20” was organised for students of Noney area on June 23 at Hunters’ Valley Headquarters of Noney Battalion. The aim of the lecture was to motivate the students for the “Super 20’’ initiative being undertaken by the Indian Army. Super 20 is an initiative by Red Shield Division for coaching the State youths for engineering entrance exams at Centre for Social Responsibility & Learning (CSRL). According to a statement issued by PIB, Defence, Imphal, a motivating lecture cum awareness of the same was conducted by the officers of the Noney Battalion covering various aspects on job opportunities and career prospects. At the conclusion Commandant, 8 Assam Rifles interacted with students and motivated them for a bright future.
