IMPHAL, April 7: 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under the aegis of IGAR (S) distributed furniture to Lau Pau Chum LP School of Imphal east and six solar lights to the Nongmaiching Waiphe village of Andro of April 7. Brig Navneet Kumar, Cdr 9 Sect AR attended the occasion as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Commander 9 Sector stressed upon the importance of good relations between the Armed Forces and Local populace. He emphasized that Assam Rifles would continue to strive for the welfare and security of the people and it will always endeavor to give meaningful assistance to the people of Manipur. The village authority and populace of the area attended the event.
