IMPHAL, April 7: An emergency executive body meeting of Manipur University Teacher’s Association (MUTA) was held today at 11:30 am in the Department of Mathematics, Manipur University to discuss the disturbances in the campus, in particular, the incident happened in the faculty room of Prof Amar Yumnam on April 5 around 2 pm to 3:30 pm.
A press release of MUTA stated that the Association took serious note on destruction of computer monitor, laptop and other electronic equipment and condemned such act of destruction of university properties and resolved unanimously to appeal the university authorities to take appropriate action to book the involved persons and should take necessary action not to repeat such things in future.
