IMPHAL, April 25: The proscribed outfit KYKL in a press statement has said that the 19th anniversary of the outfit was observed at the Bn headquarters and the units of the outfit today.
It said that the day was observed at the 1st Bn headquarters MYL, KYKL with its general secretary Korouhanba as chief guest; acting chief of army staff, MYL, KYKL K Nimai, as president and KCP, chief of army staff, MFL, Kriti Meitei as guest of honour.
The statement said, the KCP army chief in his speech said that the movement has today reached a point where the outfits are able to sit together and discuss the course of the movement which is indicated by the formation of the CorCom.
It said, Korouhanba elaborated further on the need of the present generation to understand the origin and history of the land.
