1000 kgs Ganja burnt at Ukhrul
Nearly one thousand kilograms of ganja (Marijuana) was disposed off by Litan police (Ukhrul district) on Monday at 10 am. Altogether, 1078 kg of ganja was burnt at .Mongkatchepu, Ukhrul district of Manipur under Litan police station today. The market worth of ganja that was burnt today was Rs 32, 34, 000.
On March 4 this year, 16 Assam Rifles had seized large number of packets of sealed ganja while conducting a frisking operation at Mahadev in Ukhrul district. The Assam Rifles later handed the seized goods to the Litan police station. The ganja was seized from one V Gideon (53), s/o late V Naokahao of Sirarakhong under Somdal police station of Ukhrul district.
