IMPHAL, Jan 2: Seikhothang Kipgen, son of Lunkhulet Kipgen ofTuibong and Seikholen Vaiphei of Khengjang Village in Churachandpur District who were reportedly arrested as active member of KNF-N in connection with a kidnapping case on the December 22, 2013 is totally baseless and unacceptable, and not connected with the outfit, said a press release of the KNF (Nehlun).

It said the accused is on the other hand found to be a retired soldier of the Indian army and his source of income are by providing his van for hire and reserve systems.

It also said that another accused Lunminthang Kipgen of Bongbal had reached the base camp of the organisation in June this year and returned as he himself had thought unfit to serve the Kuki Nation in its political movement. Therefore, he was not assigned any duty or Army number to become an active member of KNF-N and his activities is not recognised under any circumstances.
