IMPHAL, Apr 6: A-thirteen-minute long documentary film based on WW-II at Imphal titled ‘The Imphal Campaign’ was released today at the conference hall, Babina Diagnostics Centre, Porompat.

The documentary film is being directed by Aribam Prem Sharma, video journalist, Impact TV and produced by Impact TV.

The release function was also attended by Christopher Johnson, author of Forgotten Army’s Boxes of Lion as the chief guest.

Speaking on the sidelines of the function, Prem Sharma said his documentary is a result of the footages he had collected as a journalist since 2009.

He had never thought that he would be making the film, however, the coming of the Japanese Ambassador to India to Imphal during the three month long anniversary of the Imphal War had prompted him to turn his video clippings to a film.

The documentary is compiled by the video footages he had taken during his visit to the places of Battle of Sangshak, Battle of Imphal, Battle of Red Hills.
