IMPHAL, July 15: Elangbam Dhiren Singh and his first wife Bidyalaxmi, who were arrested in connection with the suspicious death of Sushila and her 10-month-old daughter, have been sent to judicial custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate West.

The two were produced before the CJM Imphal West, RK Memcha yesterday.

Sushila second wife of Dhiren was found hanging inside her room with her daughter lying dead on a bed nearby on July 1 at Keisamthong Elangbam Leikai Leirak Achouba.

The same day Dhiren and his first wife were arrested by the police.

Dhiren by profession is a teacher of the Little Master English Higher Secondary School, Samurou.

The two were first remanded to police custody for five days on July 2, 2014

On July 7, they were further remanded to 8 days in police custody.

Sources said that a charge sheet will soon be frame at the earliest.

The case is being handled by the Imphal West Women Police station, as their second case since inception last month.
