IMPHAL, July 17: An operation was launched in the general area of Thamnapokpi Awang Leikai by troops of 16 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector on July 17 and apprehended a KYKL/PREPAK (OGW), informed a PRO IGAR (s) release.
It has identified the man as Modhachandra, 64 of Thamnapokpi Awang Leikai, Lamlai village. From his possession a 9 mm auto Pistol with four live rounds.
The arrested man along with the items recoevered from him have been handed over to the Lamlai Police Station, it said.
