IMPHAL, July 25: Students continue to agitate demanding the implementation of the ILP, today totally disregarding the State government’s order for educational institutes to remain close for three days starting today.

Students from various institutes today tried to storm the ongoing Assembly, but ware blocked by a huge police presence at the DM college western gate.

Around 400 students were seen jostling to pass the police barricade, but police resorted to firing tear gas shells to disorient the student mob.

Students also used banners condemning excessive police action against them.

A Large number of police force was deployed including women constable to control the students.
