IMPHAL, Jul 26: The The NSCN/GPRN-R has clarified that the news item regarding extortion carried by some local dailies in Nagaland and Assam is false and baseless.
A press release issued today by the deputy secretary, Ministry of Information and publicity, NSCN/GPRN-R (Southern Zone) stated it was formed on the principle of reformation through love and peace.
It appealed to all the headman of Joypur, Fulertal, Hmarkhawlien of Cachar and Jinam valley areas of Dima Hasao villages to refrain from entertaining any demands in the name of NSCN/GPRN-R by any individual.
