Imphal, Aug 9: Imphal West district police carried out a cordon and search operation at Naoremthong Khullem Leikai under Lamphel police today in connection with the coming Independence Day celebration.
According to a reliable source, the cordon and search operation was carried out as a part of security measures taken up to prevent any subversive activity ahead of the celebration.
