Two police constable candidates JACs withdraw general strike

The JAC of All Manipur Police Constable Male Civil Viva Voice Completed Candidate, 2016 (fresh batch) has call off the general strike they earlier called in the state from November 10 till 13.

Speaking to media persons today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal the JAC’s general secretary, Manichandra Chanambam appreciated chief minister, N.Biren for assuring to declare their recruitment results to not spoil their future careers.

He said that the JAC was grateful to the media for making their voices and demands heard by the government.

The JAC appealed to the government to be effective in any government job recruitment as it holds the future of many individual.

In another development the All Manipur DPC Completed Re-recruitment Candidates of Police Constable Male, 2013 Batch has also postponed the 24-hours state width total shutdown which was to start from midnight today.

Speaking to media persons the JAC’s president, A. Binoy said that the total shutdown was postponed after the government gave assurance that they will fixed the date of declaring the result on November 14.

He appealed to the government to make the assurance “last and final” in consideration of the sufferings of the candidates.

Home parliamentary secretary, L. Susindro said that their result were held up as there was a case in the court regarding the recruitment process.

He said that the government will discuss the matter on November 14 to bring an amicable solution to end the sufferings of the candidates.
