IMPHAL, Jan 2 : Many sports organisations and associations of the state continued to express grief over the sudden demise of L Ranjit Roy who worked wholeheartedly to promote and develop sports in the State especially the game of Football.
He passed away on December 30 at a hospital in Mumbai.
Honouring his selfless dedication, condolence meetings were held at the respective offices of Manipur Olympic Association (MOA), 11 Star Sporting Union, Akampat, Football Gaurdian club, Imphal East, Future Football Promoter, Mapal Kangjeibung, Hockey Union, Lairikyengbam Leikai, Churachandpur District Sports Association.
The associations aslo observed two-minute silence in honour of the departed soul and also prayed to almighty for his soul to rest in peace.
