Senapati: Don Bosco College, Maram, organized the Annual Fresher’s Meet yesterday under the theme “Believe in your Dreams”.
The Fresher’s meet aim to welcome the newcomers to institution and sets the tone and tenure of its academic performance and is aimed at avoiding social evils and to encourage the creative impulses of the students.
The students were briefed about the institution and its culture of integral formation with all round personality development of each and every student. The programme started with a prayer Adaphro Rosemary, Vice- Principal of the College.
The Principal of the College, Reverend Dr KO Sebastian congratulated all the freshers for having secured seat in the institute.
A drama was also showcased to add colour to the festive programme.

The members of Peace Club of Don Bosco College, Maram,Manipur took thousands of Bosconians, round the city of David, through an exhibition on the “Holy Land of Jerusalem” under the leadership of Sr Vinaya George SMMI, the coordinator of peace club and under the supportive guidance of Fr. Benny James, the Principal of Don Bosco College, Maram. The man behind the scene of this wonderful exhibition of Holy Land was Fr. George Kandathinkara of Imphal Diocese, who had come all the way from Imphal and demonstrated to us his wonderful and holistic experience of his pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

It was one day exhibition. The exhibition gave all a detailed information of our Lord Jesus Christ, His birth place, His ministry etc. It helped us to visualize and localize the teachings, miracles and above all the sacrifices of Jesus. It helped the participants to know more about Jesus, thus deepening faith as well. It was indeed a nourishing experience.
Beside this, many historical Biblical pictures and materials were also displayed, which gave a feeling that all are one among those who have the golden opportunity of witnessing the Holy Land of Jerusalem.
