IMPHAL, Dec 1: The medalists of the ongoing 27th state level Taekwondo championship held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium are listed as follows.

In sub-junior girls’ U-47 kg, N Daina, S Tina, W Reena and K Anmei bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

In sub-junior girls’ U-16 kg, Linthoi, Rani and Nirupama bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

In U-26 kg, Th Sanjita, S Pujaluxmi, Syed Daulatmanuta and K Christina bagged gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

In U-35 kg, L Lovely, Pretna, N Helena and Pushpatally secured gold, silver and bronze medal respectively. 

In senior girls’ U-46 kg, T Rajiyalily, Ijent, Kh Sultan and M Sina secured gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

In senior girls’ U-67 kg, Sunila, Daina and M Sarjubala bagged gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

IMPHAL, Nov 30: The medal winners of 27th State Level Taekwondo Championship held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium are listed as follows.

In sub-junior girls’ U-41 kg, O Khuman Leima of UTA clinched the gold medal while N Konica of CTIS bagged the silver medal. L Veroda of SAI-RC and N Nandita of NSA were the bronze medalists.

In sub-junior girls’ U-49 kg, T Bidyalaxmi of SAI-RC, Th Bicky of SAI-RC, S Abemacha of UTA and H Dolley of UTA bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

In sub-junior girls’ U-57 kg, L Anita of SAI-RC, W Jamuna of SAI-RC, O Wangoleima of UTA and M Sachirani of UTA got gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

In junior girls’ U-52 kg, L Beby of UTA, Ch Shila of SAI-RC, Shek Hashina of PTA and K Elizabeth of SAI-RC bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

In sub-junior boys’ U-23, A Willee of PTA, Th Robert of UTA, Y Beshworjit of CTA and K David of PTA secured gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

IMPHAL, Nov 29: Altogether 13 different units are taking part in the 27th edition of the state Taekwondo championship. Altogether 354 players, 232 girls and 127 boys, are taking part in the state level championship.

In the final bout played today for the 38kg class for the subjunior girls, th Inaobi of NSA took gold while L Yaiphabi of CTI won silver. The bronze were shared between Babyla of NSA and Joyshree of UTA.

In the junior Girls 55kg final, Th Basanti of SAI took gold after defeating Ronibala of SAI.

In the junor Girls 63kg final, L Nganthoi of Naoremthong Unit won gold while Linda Kamei of UTA took the silver.

In the juinor girls 68kg final L Mrinalini of Naoremthong Unit won gold while Vimoni Moirangthem of UTA won silver while O Tombi of SAI took the bronze.

In the final of the subjunior Girls 22kg, S Nancy of UTA won gold while W Chandrakiran of UTA took the silver. The Bronze medals were shared between Sh Ghanapriya of CTI and L Prety also of CTI.

In the final of the sub-junior girls 29kg, Parshida of Naoremthong Unit took gold while Geetanjali of NSA took silver and the bronze medals were shared between Kh Alina of PTA and N Jeena of NSA.

IMPHAL, Nov 29: Altogether 13 different units are taking part in the 27th edition of the state Taekwondo championship. Altogether 354 players, 232 girls and 127 boys, are taking part in the state level championship.

In the final bout played today for the 38kg class for the subjunior girls, th Inaobi of NSA took gold while L Yaiphabi of CTI won silver. The bronze were shared between Babyla of NSA and Joyshree of UTA.

In the junior Girls 55kg final, Th Basanti of SAI took gold after defeating Ronibala of SAI.

IMPHAL, Nov 29: Manipur Police Sports Club stormed into the final of the 60th All India Police Meet Football tournament being held at Dhergao, Assam.

In the semi final match played today MPSC defeated Tamil Nadu Police by 2-1 goals. Both the goals for the MPSC were scored by Ksh Kanta in the 66th and 99th minute.

Manipur Police will meet Assam Police in the final to be played on November 30.

After Tamil Nadu police took the lead in the 52nd minute Ksh Kanta scored the equaliser for Manipuir Police in the 66th minute. 

Both the teams were locked at 1-1 during normal period and Ksh Kanta netted in the deciding goal in the extra time.

IMPHAL, Nov 29: Only three out of four out-station team have confirmed their participation in the 55th CC Meet football tournament which is to resume from December 5 at Mapal Kangjeibung.

Mizoram Police, Shillong Lajong FC and the Assam Rifles have confirmed their participation in the prestigious football tournament. AMFA had arranged for four out-station teams but only three teams have confirmed for the participation and hence the quarter final line-up have been arranged.

In the first quarter final match to be played on December 5 TRAU will play Assam Rifles while in the second quarter final NISA will play Mizoram Police on December 6. On December 7 defending champion FC Lajong Shillong will meet USA. NEROCA has got bye and the club is through to the semi final.

All the quarter final match will be played at Mapal Kangjeibung while two semi final and the finals will be played at the Main Stadium of Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

IMPHAL, Nov 28: Imphal West team has become the overall champion of 1st state level vovinam championship held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium by securing seven gold, 10 silver and six bronze medals.

In the final match of senior boys’ 45-50 kg category, L Ajit of Thoubal, Johnson L of Imphal West and S Jiban of Imphal East secured the gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

In the final match of senior boys’ 55-60 kg category, R Loren and Sidba secured the gold and silver medal respectively.

In the final match of senior boys’ Ngu Mon Quyen event, S Jiban of Imphal East, M Loren of Imphal West and Ch Halley of Bishnupur took the gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

In the final match of junior boys’ Ngu Mon Quyen event, Y Lanchenba of Thoubal, K Thoiba of Imphal West and AK Malemnganba of Bishnupur secured gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

In the final of men’s duel sword, Michael and Thoiba of Imphal West, Arun and Deban of Thoubal and Lanchangba and Bishorjit of Imphal East bagged gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

In the final match of girls’ self-defense, H Omita and S Bidesh of Imphal West, Y Kharishma and Athoi of Bishnupur and Th Velony and Th Bishorjit of Imphal East took the gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

IMPHAL, Nov 28: Henthoiba Leishangthem from Manipur bagged the overall first position in individual Indian round by scoring 669 points at the 4th Mini National Archery Championship held at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

Teammates Golmei Chuichui Rongmei and K Pushpati Devi secured overall  second position in individual Indian round by scoring 656 and 651 points respectively.

Manipur girls’ team comprising of K Pushpati, M Rupan, Ch Roni and M Pushpa also won team championship with 1784 points in the Indian round.

The state boys’ team comprising of Henthoiba, G Chichui, A James and A Pramod also won the team championship by scoring 1964 points.

IMPHAL, Nov 27: SSA Thoubal has lifted the trophy for 5th Edition of G Khelchandra Memorial Men’s Open Hockey Tournament after defeating MPSC by 4-3 goals in the final match held today at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal. The goal for victorious SSA team were scored by H Mani (two goals) in 11th and 28th minutes while Ch Nepolian and K Arun added one goal each to the team’s score in 49th and 61st minute respectively.

S Tarunkumar and P Adeva scored the goals for runner-up team MPSC.

SSA got two penalty corners while MPSC got six penalty corners during the match.

Pritam of SSA, Th Romesh of MPSC and H Mani of SSA were adjudged the best goalkeeper, best player and man of the match respectively.

The winner received Rs. 20,000 while runner-up MPSC got Rs. 10,000 as the cash prizes of the tournament.

IMPHAL, Nov 25: MPSC defeated MEIRAA by 8-2 while SSA defeated YCCIC by 8-1 in the semi-final matches of 5th G Khelchandra Memorial Men’s Open Hockey Tournament held at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium, Imphal.

In the first semi-final match, MPSC defeated MEIRAA by 8-2. The goals for MPSC were scored by Th Birjit (two goals), Th Herojit (two goals), P Adeba (one goal), P Jupiter (two goals) and M Shanti (one goal) while Th James and N Bhaker scored for MEIRAA.

Th Ramesh was booked green card during the match.

In the second semi-final match, SSA defeated YCCIC by 8-1 goals. The goals for SSA were scored by H Mani (one goal), H Romi (three goals), M Amarjit (two goals), Ch Nepolian (one goal) and Th Rocky (one goal).

S Uttam was booked yellow card during the match.

IMPHAL, Nov 20: The 5th edition of G Khelchandra Memorial State Level Hockey Tournament commenced today at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal with MLA Th Nandakishore as the chief guest.

In the opening match, YCCIC defeated SYUC by 3-0 in the opening match of the tournament.

Y Chandra scored the first goal for YCCIC in 10th minute of the match. N Sanjoy scored another goal by penalty corner in 48th minute while W Suresh added one more goal in 52nd minute of the match.

MLA Nandakishore and EE L Dhaballo also donated Rs. 10000 and Rs. 5000 respectively to the organizing committee.

MEIRAA will meet UYAC while MPSC will face SYUC in tomorrow’s match of the tournament.

IMPHAL, November 19: Shillong football club, Lajong FC today registered its second win from three matches of the ongoing I-league footfall tournament with the Main Stadium at Khuman Lampak as its home ground.

Lajong FC defeated PAILAN Arrows by a solitary goal with the Score line reading 1-0.

Lalramluaha scored the winner of the match in the 35th minute of play to clinch a win for the home team. Poreinganba goalie of the Lajong team was adjudged the Man-of the Match.

The only hitch for the red brigade from Shillong was the yellow card shown to Aibor Khongjee in the 38th minute.

Navin kumar of PAILAN Arrows was also booked in the 34th minute for handling the ball when James Gbilee of Lajong tried to passed his custadion in front of the D box. The lojong bench was unhappy with the yellow card and demanded a red card from referee Sapam Kumar.

Meanwhile, with today’s win Lajong has eight points in its name Seven points behind the leader Dempo Gao which has 15 points.

Now Lajong has two wins and a draw while playing at Khuman Lampak as its home ground. The next play at Khuman Lampak will be against Mohan Bagan on December 2.

IMPHAL, Nov 18: The 5th Edition of G Khelchandra memorial men’s open hockey tournament will commence from November 20 at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium.

Altogether six teams, namely MPSC, SYUC, YCCIC, SSA, MEIRAA and UYAC are taking in the tournament.

The inauguration function of the tournament will be attended by Kshetrigao MLA Th Nandakishore, Shamu Singh, vice-president of Imphal East Hockey Association, and L Dhaballo, EE PHED as the chief, president and guest of honour respectively.

YCCIC will meet SYUC in the opening match of the tournament.

IMPHAL, Nov 18: In an equalling match game between NISA and TRUGPU, the former defeated the latter by a goal line of 4-3 through the tie breaker after both teams were locked goalless before the end of normal time.

NISA defeated TRUGPU by 4-3 via tie-breaker in the last pre-quarter final match held today at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

Both teams were locked in goalless draw till the end of normal time.

NISA defeated TRUGPU by 4-3 goals in the tie-breaker.

The scorers of NISA were L Ratan, L Nabachandra, P Somorendro and Th Borish while N Rakesh, N Dhananjoy and Sh Meiraba scored for TRUGPU.

L Ratan and Michael Joute of NISA and T Thomas Boy of TRUGPU were booked with yellow cards during the match.

With this win against TRUGPU, state league champion NISA has stormed into the quarter-final.

Goalkeeper L Premkumar was instrumental in making NISA victorious against TRUGPU.

IMPHAL, Nov 17: NEROCA defeated SSU by 4-3 goals in the tie-breaker in today’s match of 55th CC Meet Football Tournament held at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

Both teams were locked in goalless draw till the end of normal time. However, NEROCA defeated SSU by 4-3 in the tie-breaker.

Four strikers of NEROCA, namely M Ashok, Ng Tomarjit, Th Roshan and T Kornan succeeded in making the goals while only three strikers of SSU, namely K Kiran, Md Sahidur Rahman and Th Shyamsunder scored the goals in the tie-breaker.

With this win against SSU, NEROCA has stormed into the quarter-final match.

Goalkeeper Ksh Naoba was instrumental in making NEROCA team victorious against SSU in the CC Meet tournament.

NISA will meet TRUGPU in tomorrow’s match.
