Imphal, Feb 15: Discovering the movement of UG cadre in Keibi of Ukhrul district, troops of 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation in the area and apprehended two KCP(Noyon) cadres on 15 Feb 2012. The apprehendees were identified as Thangjam Naocha,20 yrs,s/o Th Sanaton and Moirangthem Iton Singh,18 yrs,s/o Ratan singh. Both r/o Keibi Awang Leikai,Lamlai,Imphal East.One hand grenade was recovered from the apprehendees.
In yet another incident, troops of 15 Assam Rifles and 36 Assam Rifles under HQ IGAR (South) launched joint operation in Khoirom Makha Leikai and apprehended one KYKL cadre on 15 Feb 2012. The apprehendee was identified as SS Central Committee Audit(Finance) Advisor, Bastimayum Tomba Sharma alias B Sharma,56 yrs,s/o Late B Manjasana Sharma,r/o Khoirom Makha Leikai and was handed over to Yairipok Police station.
On 14/2/2012 at about 10:30 am, a combined team of CDO/lmphal East and 30 Assam Rifles arrested 2 PLA cadres namely, (1) Elangbam Surchandra @ Khanganba Singh (32) s/o E. Nitai Singh of Pukhao Naharup Makha Leikai and (2) Ngangom Premkumar @ Lemba Singh (29) s/o Ng. Chaoba Singh of Keikon Maning Leikai from Nilakuthi area and one mobile phone (BYOND), 3(three) Nos. of M-16 live ammn., l(one) Mobile phone (Nokia) and 3(three) Nos. of live ammn. were recovered from their possession. On verification, Elangbam Surchandra @ Khanganha Singh (sl. No.l) disclosed that he joined PLA organization in the month of August 2008 through one Mr. LeiJangba and trained at Burma under army No. is 3153 and he is now holding the rank of S/S Lance Corporal and Ngangom Premkumar @ Lemba Singh (sl. No.2) disclosed that he joined PLA organization in the year 2007 through one S/S Maj. Temba and trained at Burma under army No. is 2925 and presently holding the rank of S/S Lance Corporal of PLA and they were working under the command of S/S 2nd Lt. Jayanta of PLA organization. Further, on the same day at about 12:30 pm, 2(two) more PLA cadres namely, (1) Maibani Dhanabir Singh s/o M. Nipamacha Singh of Mayang Imphal Thana Mamang and (2) Sanjenbam Sunita @ Lemchang Chanu (27) d/o S. Bomcha @ Danabir of Soto Dumai Bangladesh were arrested from Paona Bazar and Uripok Tourangbam Leikai respectively at the instance of Klangbam Surchandra ‘’ Khanganba Singh (sl. No.l) and l(one) mobile phone (Samsung). 4(four) Nos. of press release notes. 2(two) Diaries, 3(three) Nos. of M-16 live ammn and l(one) hand bag were recovered from their possession. On verification. Maibam Dhanabir Singh (sl. No. 1) disclosed that he is an active member of PLA organization and Sanjenbam Sunita @ Lemchang Chanu (sl. No.2) disclosed that she joined PLA organization in the year 2003 through one S/S Capt. Chaothoi and trained at Burma under army No. is 2717 and she is now holding the rank of S/S Sgt. and they were involved in the attacking by lobbing grenades and firing to the houses of Congress Workers and Congress Candidates and also extorted huge amount of money from genera! public, govt. officials, businessmen etc.
Again, on the same day at about 4:20 pm, a combined team of CDO/lmphal East and 28 Assam Rifles arrested 2(two) KCP (K.K. Nganba) cadres namely, (1) Phijam Rainson @ Amutombi @ Tayai Meitei (18) s/o Ph. Ibungobi of Pungdongbam Makha Leikai and (2) Sapam Thoinaoba @ Surendra Singh (20) s/o S. Ibohanbi of Sekta Makha Leikai from Kongpal Iranpham area and l(one) Chinese hand grenade was recovered from their possession. On verification, they disclosed that they joined KCP (K.K. Nganba) organization in the year 2011 through one Koktang of Sekta and presently working under the command of one Lairenlakpa of KCP organization and they were involved in extortion of money from general public, govt. officials . businessmen etc and transportation of ammunitions and ammunition from one place to another.
Further, on the same day at about 1:00 pm. a team of CDO/Imphal East arrested l(one) kidnaper namely. Md. Ajmal Shah (36) s/o Md. Amjad Shah of Kshetrigao Keikhu Mamang Leikai and rescued one Non-Manipuri namely , Pankaj Janardhan Salian (26) s/o Janardhah Khongapa Salin of Hemade Chol. Bhimnagar, VirtakaNagar, Thane. Mumbai from Keikhu Khetrigao area.
