IMPHAL, Dec 10: Troops of 30 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) apprehended one UNLF cadre during a search operation in Lousang Khong Mayai leikai, said a PRO IGAR (s) release.
The release has identified the apprehended person as Y Wairakpam Roshan Singh, 48, son of L W Ibochouba Singh of Lousang Khong Mayai, Imphal.
He has been handed over to Lamlai police station, it added.
In another incident, troops of 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector launched an operation at Khudengthabi and apprehended one PREPAK woman cadre on December 9, said the same release.
The woman has been identified as No 80120 (batch no.8) self style 2nd lieutenant, Keisham Sana Devi, 28, wife of self style captain Keishan Sagar Singh of Patsoi part-1,Imphal West, it said.
One 9mm pistol with magazine, four lives rounds and one Samsung mobile with a sim card were recovered from her, it continued. The apprehended person was handed over to Imphal West police station along with the recovered items, the release said.
