IMPHAL, December 16: Zenith Academy director, Soraisham Manaoton Singh distributed five bags of rice, one bag of dal, one bag of potatoes and a tin of edible oil each to two orphanages and a home for the mentally challenged today.
The orphanages are The Hope Home Imphal for girls, Tera Loukrakpam Mayai Leikai, Children Home, Kabo Leikai and The All Manipur Mentally Handicapped Persons Welfare Organization, Mongshangei.
Today’s distribution was made from the amount of Rs 10 lakh given by the state government for producing the CBSE topper Md Ismat Khan, the director said to media persons.
He further said to the orphanage inmates that they should not worry about anything and assured that Zenith Academy will always be there for them.
The Hope Home Girls has 21 girl inmates, The All Manipur Mentally Handicapped Persons Welfare Organization has 120 students and the Children Home, Kabo Leikai has 30 boy inmates.
Administrative officer, Zenith Academy Soraisham Premila and other officials of the school attended the visit.
