THOUBAL, March 25: A Mega Membership Enrolment campaign was organised by Election Campaign Committee of Md, Kiyamuddin, 30-Lilong A/C of BJP, Lilong A/C at the residence of social activist, Md. Kiyamuddin, Lilonh Turel Ahanbi Yangbi Leikai.
Former Speaker and President of BJP Manipur State Unit, Dr. H. Borbabu attended the campaign as chief guest with H. Rajo as president and Sh. Santikumar, Y, Khemchandra, General Secretary of Kisan Morcha, H. Bijen, Secretary of BJYM, K. Bishworjit and ex-MLA, Dr. U. Deven as eminent persons.
Speaking on the occasion, former President of BJP Manipur, Shantikumar Sharma has said that BJP, which was once an untouchable party, has now become the leader as people came to understand the ideals of the party. He further said that people should enroll as member of the party, which is under the leadership of Narendra Modi whose aim is to develop the country and eradicate poverty. He further stated that the Sports University, which is the first of its kind in the country, has not yet been constructed as the current government has failed to provide land for its construction. He added that people should join the BJP in order to strengthen the party. He also clarified that the accusation made by Congress that BJP is communal is false as most of the important members of the party are minority Muslims.
In his speech, Social Activist, Md. Kayamuddin has stated that BJP has become more powerful each day. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is trusted that the public and it is only right that people should enroll in the party and support the leader, said the Social Activist. He further said that people should work together to develop Lilong A/C as it is lacking in every aspect. It may also be mentioned that over 3000 voters enrolled in the mega membership drive.
