IMPHAL, March 30: The State Government implemented schemes worth crores for planting trees in the Imphal areas but unfortunately none of plants are seen today said Oinam Malesh President BJYM Manipur Pradesh.

Speaking in a one day political conference cum online membership drive held at the Leimakhong are under Saitu Constituency today, he said that the State Government had expended crores for planting trees in the Imphal area in last few years but none of the trees are seen growing properly.

He further said that if the plants are not maintained properly or money meant for theri upkeep pocketed by the authorities, this is the result.

He called for envisaging alternative means for their sustainable life in the hills. The hills people can stop deforestation in the hills on if this is successful, he said.

The only way to make a change in this regards is to elect the BJP in the forthcoming ADC election he said.

If the BJP sweeps the upcoming ADC election there will be a change in the hill districts soon, he promised.

After the ADC election, there will be the Assembly election in 2017 he said adding, if the BJP emerge successful, peace will return to the Northeast region Malesh said.

Basanta vice-president BJYM Manipur Pradesh said that hill people mistook the BJP party as anti-Christen party but after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister the hill people have come to realise this is only Congress propaganda and totally false.

IMPHAL, March 30: The Bharatiya Janata Party Manipur Pradesh has notified its invitation to intending candidates for the upcoming ADC election today after a marathon meeting said an official of

IMPHAL, March 30: The Bharatiya Janata Party Manipur Pradesh has notified its invitation to intending candidates for the upcoming ADC election today after a marathon meeting said an official of BJP.

The official further said that this morning BJP Manipur Pradesh Consultative Committee met on ADC election 2015 at the office of the BJP conference hall, and the BJP Manipur Pradesh has notified invitations to intending candidates.

The notification further said that intending candidates are asked to submit their applications with full bio-data at the earliest possible for party ticket form.

The intending candidates were also asked to submit the candidate forms with requisite cash or demand draft in favour of BJP Manipur Pradesh. The deposit will be non-refundable and the latest date for submission is April 15, the notice said.

Later the meeting decided to form a sub-consultative committee on the ADC election at every six district, the official said.

In the evening the State Election Committee, BJP, held a closed door meeting chaired by president Th Chaoba.

It may be mentioned that BJP leaders have decided to fight the upcoming elections under the leadership of a chairman of its election committee. Th Chaoba, has been appointed to take the role of the committee chairman.

Other executive members for the committee are former presidents Haobam Borbabu, Meinam Bhorot and Sh Santikumar along with three general secretaries S Premananda Sharma, L Bashanta Sharma and M Asnikumar (as Convenor of Committee).

The committee will also have 15 members, and among them are Prof. Gangmumei Kamei, Danny Sheiza, N Kaisii, Yanglep Haokip, V Hangkhalian, Md Abdus Salam and special invitee Mahila Morcha President, RK Pramodini.
