NEW DELHI, Nov 28 : Naga Interlocutor RN Ravi told a Parliamentary panel here on Monday that “no deadline” could be fixed for the Naga peace agreement and talks were on with at least five or six Naga groups other than the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah).

Union Minister of State (i/c) for Power and New & Renewable Energy RK Singh said that Manipur is the ‘Fastest Reforming State’ in Power sector in the country and the Manipur Government is performing well in the same sector.
He was speaking at the launching function of Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana (Saubhagya Scheme) held at Hotel Classic Grande today.

Imphal, Nov 28 (DIPR): Members of Press Council of India (PCI), Press Association, Indian Journalist Union (IJU) and Editors Guild of India, who visited the State to take part in the two-day Inter-Regional Media Interaction Programme, called on Governor Najma Heptulla at Raj Bhavan today.
The delegates presented a memento from Press Association to the Governor.
The team recounted recommendations of the Interaction Programme between Myanmar and India held from November 27 to 28 at Hotel Imphal.
Later, the team also met Chief Minister N Biren at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The senior journalists not only had a candid interaction with the Chief Minister but also presented him a memento.
They urged the Chief Minister to improve road connectivity.

IMPHAL, Nov 28 : The people of Nambisha, Nongman, Island, Mailiang and Khambi villages have appealed to the State Government to provide necessary financial reliefs to the victims whose properties, including vehicles, were burnt and destroyed in the December 18, 2016, mob violence at Heikrumakhong.
The villagers claimed that it has been almost a year since the incident occurred but no positive response has been given by the authority concerned till date.
They further urged the State Government to take up necessary steps to ease the suffering of the affected people at the earliest.
