Heroin seized

IMPHAL, Aug 25: A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) arrested one drug seller along with 30 gram of Heroin from Chassad Avenue, New Checkon, Imphal East on August 23, claimed a press release of PRO Police. The arrested drug seller has been identified as Vahjalhing Guite @ Lucy Mate (30) w/o Paoneo Guite of S Motjang at present staying at SP Saichang, Tengnoupal district. The value of the seized drug in local market is worth approximately Rs 60, 000. A case has been registered at NAB PS and investigation is going on, the release said.

WY tablet, Heroin seized

IMPHAL, Aug 6 : Acting on a tip-off, a team of Imphal West district police led by OC (Narcotic Cell) W Ranjit seized 400 WY tablets and 22 gram of Heroin from a youth at Keisamthong Moirangningthou today evening.
The youth has been identified as Pukhrambam Rojit (23) s/o Nabakeshore of Kakching Khunou Thongam Mathak Leikai.
The seized Heroin is worth Rs 22 lakh while the WY tabelts is worth around Rs 1 lakh in International market.
It is said that the arrested youth would be handed over to Imphal police station for investigation.

MOREH, July 23: Acting on a tip off, 24th Assam Rifles Arjun Coy today seized 170 gm of heroin along with arrest of two persons at Khudengthabi Check Post around 11 am.

Those arrested have been identified as Lalboy Gangte (53), son of late Chongpi Gangte of Moreh Ward No. 9 M. Chanou Veng and S.L. Latcha Silhou (47), son of late Chongsei Sitlou of Moreh Ward No. 9 M. Chanou Veng.

According to reports, two persons coming in a Swift Desire Car bearing registration number MN-03P-1919 towards Imphal from Moreh were stopped at Khudengthabi Check Post for frisking.

On checking, the drug consignment was found kept concealed in 17 soap box packets with 10 gm each in one packet on the body part of the front wheel of the car.

A cash amount of Rs 26,500 was also found from their possession, it added.
