IMPHAL, Jan 10: The United Villages and Club’s Organisation, Nambol has clarified that its president L Thoithoi was called up at the Maibam Sanaban camp of the Sikh Regiment only to hold talk due to suspicious matter.
The organisation, in a release, also said Thoithoi was not tortured as reported in some local daily, adding it was misquoted during the press conference held on January 4 at the Manipur Press Club.
