Discovering the movement of UG cadres between Namlee and Wanglee of Ukhrul district, troops of 44 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) launched operation in the areas and apprehended two PREPAK cadres on 01 Dec 12. The apprehendees were identified as No.6008 Modu Chandra,37 yrs,s/o Irawat,r/o Sagoban Moirang Leka,Imphal West and No.45980 Pitanjit,26 yrs,s/o Jayanta,r/o Amban Phuiching,Bishenpur dist. One 7.65 mm Pistol with magazine and live rounds,two IEDs containing 100 gms of plastic explosives,two RPG bombs, one Chinese hand grenade, four 1.2 volt Ni Mh batteries, one 9 volt battery Duracell and one carry bag were recovered from the apprehendees who alongwith recoveries was handed over to Yaripok police station.
