IMPHAL, Dec 2: The Manipur State Commission for Women has performed the fortnight observation of “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” at Moreh Trade Centre, Manipur on December 1.
According to its release, around 200 women participated in the said observation. This year’s theme of the commission is, “Stop violence, no violence to women: Equality and gender sensitisation,” it added.
In a separate release, the Auxiliary Service for Human Affairs, Sagolmang Bazar, Imphal East has observed the World Aids Day under the theme: “getting to zero”, at SBME School Campus Khabam on December 1 under the support of MVHA, Imphal and VHA, New Delhi. A mass rally was also conducted at and around Pukhao area by students and teachers of the school as a part of Aids day.
