IMPHAL, July 1: Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh who is also the leader of the House presented the 7th report of the Business Advisory Committee, 2013 during the session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly which started at 11 today am on the floor of the House.

The members of the House approved the report tabled by the Chief Minister in the House.

As per the report, the session of the House will resume on July 4 at 4 am and will discuss the consideration and passing of the Manipur Public Servants’ Personal Liability (Amendment) Bill, 2013 as an agenda.

IMPHAL, July 1: Today’s sitting of the Manipur Legislative Assembly has passed four Manipur appropriation bills.

The bills are Manipur appropriation (No. 3) bill, 2013, Manipur appropriation (No. 4) bill, 2013, Manipur appropriation (No. 5) bill, 2013 and Manipur appropriation (No. 6) bill, 2013. The leader of the House, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh who also holds the Finance portfolio moved the bills on the floor of the House.

When the separate bills were tabled to be passed, MLA L. Ibomcha (NCP) of Keisamthong constituency, MLA Th Shyamkumar of All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) of Andro constituency and MLA Dr I Ibohalbi Singh of All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) of Oinam Constituency made their own observations.

Later the House unanimously passed the four bills following the detailed clarifications by the concerned Ministers regarding the observations made by three MLAs

IMPHAL, July 1: The proscribed Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) has in a press statement signed by its publicity chief Bangkim clarified that Oinam Samananda alias Kanba (33), son of Oinam Yaima, who reportedly surrendered to troops of Red Shield Division on June 29 as claimed by a PIB (Defence Wing) release, was a cadre of the party who was dismissed from the party on May 13, 2013.

The statement further said that he was dismissed (dismissal order No: 001 DIS PRE-13) for failing to follow the party’s rules and regulations. The party has no further connection with him and no arms or ammunition was handed to him when he left, the statement said while adding that PLA do not issue ‘carbine’ nor use it.

IMPHAL, July 1: The Manipur Nat Sankirtan Apunba (MANSA) has today issued a press release saying that MANSA has today minutely discussed the letter sent by Apunba Nat Kanba Lup in a meeting at MANSA auditorium and added that L Ibohalmacha Singh president MANSA, S Thanil Singh Padmashri and Ng Kulabi Singh were presidium members of the meeting.

LAMKA, July 1: The  Salvah Model School situated at Kamdou Veng  Ccpur reopen today after more than a month as it was damaged by the last hailstone and rain storm that ravaged many structures in CCpur on May 3, 2013 at 6:30 am

The headmistress of the school Vungkhannuam Samte said that the school had difficulty in reopening due to financial problems.

She added that with the help and contribution from the well-wishers and friends of the school, who contributed Rs 82240, the school was able to have a new building accommodating more than 60 students before the storm destroyed it.
