IMPHAL, July 21: The Manipur People’s Party has today said in a press release reacting on the decision for distributing urea through local MLAs which resolved during a meeting chaired by state Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, Agriculture Minister and also the concern Director and further continued to charge that it was a decision against the interest of the peasants adding that all the human intakes are produced by the peasants.

The press release further said that the duty of MLAs is to regulate laws and legislations for the welfare of the people and not to act as fertilizer agents thereby making them to do duties of the staffs of the Agriculture department, it charged.

IMPHAL, July 21: The All Manipur Students Union has today said in a press release expressing their gratitude on the one time relaxation of five years for the civil services examination in the decision cabinet meeting while adding that it will give benefits to the educated youths of the state where no opportunities for big farms and companies do exist.

While this students’ body has welcomed the announcement of the Govt to conduct civil service examination for every year, they also anticipates to play fair games on the part of the Govt of Manipur, it said.
