The newly commissioned 132/33 KV sub-station at Hungpung has reportedly failed to light up Ukhrul district.
Ukhrul requires 25A load towards Hunphun and 150A load towards the district Mini Secretariat through the feeder located at Khunchao sub-station. But the newly commissioned sub-station by MSPCL could only carry 25A load, resulting in power failure in Ukhrul, since yesterday.
As per the information provided by one of the officials present, the said sub-station at Hungpung broke down while loading the whole required energy load and that panel problems might be the reason behind the breakdown.
The concerned company is now trying to provide power supply to Ukhrul through the earlier 33KV line which was employed for the district.
