Tamenglong, Oct 8 NNN : Panic reigned in Tamenglong district headquarters today. Educational institutions and offices too did not function properly. Parents were seen rushing to their respective wards’ schools to take their children home back. In a sudden move, shops too downed their shutters from 9 am. Apprehension of the repeat of October 2 flare-up has been the cause for the chaos today.
Rumours spread that another clash between the ZUF-NSCN-K combined with the NSCN-IM would take place this morning. It was speculated that the NSCN-IM cadres were on their way to attack the rival groups.
