A senior police official said the chargesheet, which is being vetted by legal experts, has cited 30 witnesses in connection with the December 16 incident in which the medical physiotherapy student was gang-raped and brutally assaulted in a moving bus in south Delhi .

IMPHAL, Dec 31 MNS NNN : The UNC and TNL submitted a memorandum regarding the protest following molestation and assault of Momoko at Chandel on December 18 last.
It was stated that the strike was a ploy to humiliate Nagas who were stranded in Imphal .
It further informed of the molestation of women at Napet Palli by suspected KCP cadres. It charged that the stir was orchestrated by Manipur government .It said the UNLF cadres involved in the killing of K. Kumar and K. Ramshang of Kongkan village on the 28th December, 2012 and also the KCP(City Meitei) faction cadres led by its Col. Amit involved Napet Palli incident be tried as per Naga customary law.
The UNLF and the KCP cadres involved be declared as criminals by the Government of India.
The GoI should institute an independent body to probe and investigate the above crimes to prevent GoM agencies from fabrication of report.
Security post manned by central forces should be set up at Kongkan village for the safety of the citizens.
GoI should extend all possible compensation/assistance admissible to the surviving families of those killed. It demanded an alternative arrangement for Naga.
The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Manipur state has deplored the alleged step-motherly attitude towards the suffering being faced by the state particularly the tribal people.
“A number of killing of innocent people, rape and molestation of women took place under the O Ibobi Singh led government. The crime rate is rising. The most unfortunate event of the state is the communal policy of the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) government. It is also ironical to mention that discrimination and humiliation to the poor tribals is the only command phenomenon in the state of Manipur. The division of the hills and the plain likeBerlin-Wall is clearly witnessed. The slogan ‘ching-tam amattani’(hill & plain people are one) has disappeared now. There is no rules of law; no security of lives and property and no administration in the state. There is no transparency and accountability while implementing developmental programmes in the state,” alleged Athuan Abonmai who is the secretary of the NPF Manipur state.
Athuan Abonmai then expresses its great anguish and regret on the suffering caused by recent unrest in the Imphal valley due to the general strike and bandh called of Film Forum Manipur (FFM) and MSSLC and endorsed by valley based civil organizations which was again sponsored by the state government of Manipur, alleged the NPF.
“Thousands of innocent Christian minority community had been harassed, humiliated and physically assaulted. A good number of private vehicles belonging to poor tribals were damaged and properties worth crores of rupees were burnt down and looted by the strike supporters. All the Christmas shoppers in the Imphal valley were detained for several days.
Christmas is the biggest and the greatest festival of the Christian community.
However, the minority Christians of Manipur state could not celebrate the Christmas this time, the only festival in a year due to indefinite strike called by various organizations.
The NPF Manipur state then strongly condemned the Napet Palli rape attempt case where 13 innocent Tangkhul boys and girls were physically assaulted by the strike supporters at Lamlong in Imphal East and eventually attempted to rape the poor girls at Napet Pali in Imphal East by UNLF on Decemnber 24, added the NPF. It also strongly condemned the killings of two innocent Tangkhul Nagas from Kongkan village Ukhrul district on December 28. The NPF Manipur state pledged to support any democratic movement would be launched by the Naga people.
