IMPHAL, June 5: A seven member team of JN Dance Manipur Academy led by M Seityaban Singh, Sankirtan Pung Guru left Imphal today for Tripura to present a pung and dhol dholom (Manipuri percussion) on June 8-9, 2013 on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebration of Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Tripura, said a press release. The programme is being taken up by JNMDA under the scheme of propagation of Manipuri dance and music outside the state of Manipur, it said.
L Upendro Sharma, Director of JNMDA will be attending the celebration as guest of honour, concluded the press release.
