IMPHAL, February 19: Viswa Shanti Maha Yagnya (VII) and Sarva Shakha Veda Sammelan is being organized in Manipur from February 14-23, 2013 at Govindaji Temple at Palace Compund; Vishnu Panchayatan Mandir at Charhazare, Senapati district; and Angala Parameshwari Muneeshwarar temple in Moreh.

Addressing media persons at Bal Vidya Mandir, Palace Compound today, Satyavrat Shastri, Padmashree, Padmabhushan and the first recipient of Gyanpit Award in Sanskrit said he came here with the aim to propagate and promote vedic culture.

The underlining idea in the revival of vedic culture is to promote peace, he said adding that  Vedic culture has supernatural power which can subjugate human sufferings, and thus can lead to the welfare of human race.
