IMPHAL, Dec 16 : NRSU defeated MTFC 1-0 to set up summit clash against Changvei FC which beat Head Hunters 3-2 via a tie break in today’s semi-final matches of the ongoing TNFLCFC Araang League 2017 at Bakshi Mini Stadium, Ukhrul.
NRSU defeated MTFC 1-0 in a hard fought match through a goal scored by Thangtinlen in the 36th minute.
The second semi-final match between Changvei FC and Head Hunters FC ended in a 0-0 stalemate in the regulation time and the winners were decided through penalty shoot-out.
In the shoot-out, Changvei FC scored three goals against two goals scored by Head Hunters FC to meet NRSU in the final.

Party workers hold a two-minute silence and lowered the BJP’s flag to half-staff to mark the condolence, a statement said. A resident of Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai, late Laiphrakpam Ashokumar was a former general secretary of the BJP Manipur State Unit.
He had contested election twice from the Hiyanglam asssembly constituency.
He was also the executive editor of the monthly journal Thambal Leinam, the statement mentioned.

NCC Group Imphal has been participating in various schemes for the benefit of the society, including those on road safety, cleanliness campaign, drugs and AIDS, anti-malaria drives, women empowerment, adult literacy, blood donation camps and others.
Continuing its contribution towards social causes in the State, the cadets and staff carried out the rally on road safety awareness on the occasion of Victory Day. After the rally, the cadets were also given a lecture on various road safety rules and regulations.

Two individuals caught with 6120 WY tablets in separate cases

Imphal, Dec 16: Kakching Police searched a general store in Sora and arrested one drug seller identified as Md Ali-muddin, 60 s/o late Md Nizamuddin of Sora Maning Leikai. The police recovered 120 WY tablets from him.
In a separate case, a team of Narcotic Affairs of Border PS searched an inter-state bus (MN-01-2145) in front of a hotel in Sekmai after a tip-off. During the search, the police caught Md Nazir Hussain, 30, s/o Md Hamidulah of Sora Maning Leikai, Irengband who was travelling to Guwahati with 6000 WY tablets.
Police said they also found other incriminating articles from Nazir Hussain’s possession and added that the recovered tablets are worth Rs Six Lakh in the local market.
