Importance of patient preparation before a test

A clinical laboratory is responsible for conducting medical tests that provide valuable information for physician’s decision-making process. Laboratory tests not only help diagnose diseases but also aids monitoring and providing the right treatment for patients. In order to guarantee the quality of laboratory test results, the patient should cooperate by preparing themselves for the sample collection. After all, it is the sample from the body of the patient (blood, urine, body fluids, etc.) on which the test will be conducted.

Sharmila ends fast – what next ?

On 26 July, 2016 Irom Sharmila, the Iron Lady of Manipur announced in the District Court premises that she would end her 16-year-old fast on 9 August, contest the ensuing Manipur Legislative Assembly election in 2017 to sustain her campaign for repealing the Armed Forces Special Power Act-1958 in a different way and get married.

Rice for National Food Security Act

On 21 May 2016 Minister of CAF & PD asked all the Fair Price Shop agents to deposit money and collect rice for distribution to the public. On 26 May 2016 NFSA rice finds way to open markets, wrote The Sangai Express. Dr Nimaichand Luwang, ex-Minister shouted at the top of his voice on 7 June, from MPP office that, from Imphal East district, one MLA swindled 1433 quintals of rice amounting to Rs 34 lakh and another MLA swindled 1150 quintals of rice amounting to Rs 27 lakh approx.

Prospect of MBA in Rural Management

In India 70% of the population lives in rural areas and 50% of the GDP contributed by rural India. Recently Finance Minister has told in an interview that road ahead of India’s growth would be coming from rural and infrastructure sector of economy.
Govt of India gives very high priority for rural development due to it containing large population & contributing very vital input of agriculture and food to the entire population and large export potential. Today agriculture contributes net trade surplus of Rs 18 billion compared to $ Rs 8 billion indicating the net contribution of agriculture in international trade exceed much that of net contribution by Services sector.

Understanding GST by a common man

These days we find GST everywhere like Pokémon Go; we come across reports, news, articles, interviews and editorials on GST in the media. But a common man like me does not comprehend what they are talking about. First they talk about a cap; we know cap is a kind of hat. They make things more complicated when they say, cap should be 18 or 19 or 20 or 21 so on and so forth. I think one cap is more than enough; I also have only one cap, rather a monkey – cap.
