Imphal, May 21 : The Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs, Manipur today appealed to Chief Minister O Ibobi and Tribal development minister, Gaikhangam to fully implement the schemes meant for tribals.
Post- Matric scholarship for the period 2011-12 which had been released by the Centre Government is not yet distributed to the students. The tribal people of Manipur are severely under-developed as there are no good communication, hospital, drinking facility, school . It was alleged that the tribal development funds meant for poor patient were diverted for expansion of Imphal Airport
Schemes are not properly implemented by the Tribal development department it was alleged. It was further stated that housing Scheme, rural Shelter for Scheduled Tribe CGI Sheet scheme are not implemented properly.
It was demanded that the head of the TD department should be a tribal well aware of the problems of tribal.
